Meet our Team

Memories+ founder Harvey Dix takes caring for elders very personally. After a senior family member had a debilitating stroke several years ago, he saw firsthand how difficult it could be for families in this type of situation to care for a loved one. Harvey had a very successful (and demanding) career at the time and realized that caring for a loved one while balancing a career and raising a young family was next to impossible. Through living this experience it became very clear that this is something that was not uncommon in today’s society. He realized that he was part of the “sandwich generation”.

Harvey wanted to make a difference and took a leap of faith by leaving his career and starting a business in Home healthcare.

After close to 15 years in serving the community, it is clear that the needs are ever increasing as we come closer and closer to the baby boom generation requiring additional care themselves, while often still having surviving parents who also need assistance

Harvey has aligned Memories+ Group to be able to provide clients with the widest range of services to complete their total care needs.

Michelle has been with our group since the very start. As our very first Client Care manager back in 2011, Michelle has always kept community care very close to heart.

Michelle has been practicing as a Registered Nurse for almost 15 years and also obtains a certificate to practice as an Advanced Foot Care Nurse. Growing up in Newmarket, and now raising her own family nearby, she has always felt that Newmarket had a strong sense of community that she wanted to be part of.

Spending most of her nursing career working with adults and seniors in the community, health care clinics and medical offices, Michelle enjoys getting to know clients through their lived experiences and helping support them and their families.  Michelle connects with our clients as our Client Care and Services manager, providing the highest standards of support to our clients and their families every step of the way.

In addition, Michelle is trained as a certified Fit Minds™ coach and enjoys connecting in the community with ongoing virtual and in-person programs and educational sessions.

Cori comes to us with over 13 years of experience as an RPN. Mostly in hospital settings working with all ages. Cori is a lover of the great outdoors, a mom of three kids busy in sports, and a business owner herself. After continuing her nursing training to include Advanced foot care she started her own business, Anywhere Footcare.

We are pleased to welcome Cori to the Memories+ team. We look forward to watching all our new team members grow with us and shine brightly in the community!

Laura is a people person and has always loved working with older adults throughout her career as a nurse. Realizing early on the importance of proper foot care, especially for those who’s health is complicated by medical conditions, Laura went on to take additional training in Advanced footcare qualifying her to specialize in proper treatment and prevention of issues and complications relating to the feet, which can be very critical for many older adults.
Laura’s critical thinking and nursing skills support her ability to recognize conditions before they become serious issues. Priding herself in developing trust and rapport with all of her clients, Laura’s focus is always on providing the best possible care allowing her clients to remain pain-free and healthy.
Laura has been with the Memories+ team right from the start and is an asset to our clients to be able to provide this valuable service.
